Futurebuilders invests in 300th organisation Back to news

Tuesday, 25 November 2008

Futurebuilders England, the £215m government-backed third sector investment fund, has invested in its 300th organisation since it was established in 2004.

Chescombe Trust, a charity providing accommodation and personal care for people with learning disabilities, received a £1.85m investment from Futurebuilders to build a new centre in Bristol to care for residents for the entire duration of their adult lives.

Chescombe Trust has previously only had space to provide residential care and support for 13 adults aged up to 65 in one large Registered Care home. The new development, consisting of three purpose-designed buildings on one site, will enable the Trust to provide a flexible, responsive support service for over 20 people, as well as enabling it to continue to care for residents once they reach the age of 65.
