Jonathan Lewis to judge the Charity Champion Awards

Jonathan Lewis, The Social Investment Business Chief Executive, will be on the judging panel for this year’s Charity Champion Awards.

The Awards acknowledge the significant difference politicians have made to a great number of charitable causes through campaigning, legislative support, talent and expertise. They provide a platform for the voluntary sector to pay tribute to parliamentarians. Their dedication to promoting charitable causes and campaigns in Parliament and in their constituencies helps to ensure charities have their voices heard in the political arena.

The nominations for the Awards launch this week (starting 7 September) and close on Friday 16 October. Shortlisted nominees will be announced on Monday 2 November. Voting closes on Friday 13 November.

The awards ceremony will take place on the evening of Tuesday 8 December in the Great Hall at One Great George Street in Westminster.

The judges are:

  • Nick Hurd MP, Shadow Minister for Charities, Social Enterprise and Volunteering
  • Baroness Finlay of Llandaff
  • Stuart Etherington, Chief Executive, National Council for Voluntary Organisations
  • Lord Morris of Manchester
  • Jonathan Lewis, Chief Executive, The Social Investment Business
  • Peter Kyle, Deputy Chief Executive, Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations
