Investment in the Acumen Trust

The Acumen Community Enterprise Development Trust has been offered a Futurebuilders investment of £350,000. It consists of two loans of £262,500 and a grant of £87,500.

The Trust provides a whole range of services in the North East, for example educational visits for unemployed parents and their children, information, advice and guidance to help learners to make more informed choices about learning and training opportunities and guidance for starting small businesses.

The investment will be used to buy and refurbish four properties for young people people in Easington. Some of will also be used for general working capital.
