New public sector contracting opportunities 14 September

Below are some of the latest public sector contracting opportunities with approaching deadlines.

Polden-Puckham Charitable Foundation are wanting bids immediately for grants for third sector organisations undertaking projects concerning peace and security, ecological sustainability and human rights in the UK. Find our more on the Polden Puckham Charitable Foundation website or on the Funding Central website. Applications close on the 15th of September so be quick!

Nottinghamshire County Council have Adult and Community Learning Service Grants available to community and voluntary organisations for adult education projects in Nottinghamshire. Applications are due by 18 September 2009, 16 October 2009, 20 November 2009 and 4 December 2009. Contact the Adult and Community Learning Service for further information.

Derbyshire County Council has a three year contracting opportunity for the provision of short breaks services for disabled children and young people. The time limit for receipt of tenders is 18 September 2009. Contact the Derbyshire County Council for more information.

Herefordshire Council has financial assistance available to support the creation or enhancement of community buildings in Herefordshire. Applicants should contact Herefordshire Council for further information.

Cosyfeet have grants available for third sector organisations undertaking projects assisting those with mental health problems in Somerset. Contact the Somerset Community Foundation for more information.

South Holland District Council are offering financial assistance available to local voluntary and community groups in South Holland for small projects that benefit local residents. Applications are due by 16 September 2009, 9 December 2009 and 17 March 2010. Contact South Lincolnshire CVS for further information.

Leeds City Council have a contracting opportunity for the provision of a quality assurance support function to the Performance and Quality Assurance section of Adult Social Care. Applicants should register on the SCMS Procurement System. The time limit for receipt of tenders is 16 September 2009.

Kent People’s Trust have funding programmes available for projects that improve community safety and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in Kent. Application forms and guidance notes may be found on the Kent People’s Trust website.

Department for Children, Schools and Families have financial assistance available for the development of community-based media projects that target disadvantaged young people across England (Mediabox).

Somerset Community Foundation have grants available for third sector organisations undertaking projects for children with special needs. Applications are due by the 17th September. Contact the Somerset Community Foundation for more information.

The Impetus Trust have grants for third sector organisations working to make a significant impact on reducing re-offending. Applications are due by no later than 15 September 2009. Contact Claire Kelly at Impetus Trust for further information.

There is a contracting opportunity on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) for social research evidence review to inform natural environment policy. The time limit for receipt of tenders is 18 September 2009. Contact DEFRA for more information.

Thurrock Council have a contracting opportunity for the provision of parent support advisors throughout the Borough of Thurrock, Essex. Time limit for receipt of tenders is 18 September 2009. Contact the Head of Procurement Services at Thurrock Council for more information.

North Yorkshire County Council have a contracting opportunity available for the provision of a housing related accommodation-based support service for young people aged 16 - 25 years across the seven districts of North Yorkshire.
