New public sector contracting opportunities 21 September

Shropshire Council is offreing an Arts Grant Scheme where financial assistance is available for arts projects in Shropshire. Applications can be made for up to £1,000 for organisations and up to £500 for individuals. The deadline is 25 Contact Shropshire Council for further information.
Suffolk Coastal District Council has financial assistance available to voluntary and community organisations for the provision of additional and improved facilities for the general public. Grants are available for 40% of capital costs of a scheme up to a maximum of £10,000. The annual funding deadlines are 30th April and 30th September. London Borough of Hillingdon has financial assistance available to community and voluntary groups for environmental and community safety improvements to Council land or facilities in Hillingdon. Minimum grants of £5,000 over a one year period are available and should not involve the Council in ongoing maintenance costs. Colwinston Chartiable Trust has grants available for third sector organisations working in opera, visual arts and classical music in the UK. Grants are made between the values of £5,000 and £50,000 and are usually between £10,000 and £15,000. Contact the Colwinston Charitable Trust for further information.
Department for International Development is inviting bids for financial assistance that is available for projects with a commitment to meet the internationally agreed target to halve the proportion of people living in extreme poverty by 2015. DFID will fund up to 100% of the project costs, up to a maximum of £100,000 per annum, for a maximum of three years. For further information contact Triple Line Consulting Limited.
Derbyshire County Council has financial assistance available for the development of social enterprises for the delivery of low level services to older and vulnerable adults. The maximum grant available is £9,500. Contact Derbyshire County Council for further information.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council has a contracting opportunity for the appointment of a potential partner in Stockton Borough Council’s bid for the development of extra care housing provision within the Thornaby area. Hartlepool Borough Council has contracting opportunity available for the provision of family group meetings in Hartlepool. At this stage the period of interest covers from the 1 November 2009 up to the 31 March 2010 on a ’spot’ purchase basis. Following on from this the Department will be commissioning an organisation to provide Family Group Meetings for a period of three years from 1 April 2010. South Tyneside Council has a contracting opportunity available for the provision of a domiciliary care service for adults and older people resident in South Tyneside. The Cabinet Office is inviting tenders for financial assistance which is available to small voluntary and community and faith groups to continue or expand their work with local communities in Blackburn with Darwen. The Cabinet Office is also offering financial assistance to small, grass-roots community and voluntary groups in Liverpool to continue or expand their work with their local community. Applications are next due by 25 September 2009. Decisions will be made by a Local Funding Panel within two weeks of the closing date. Department for Work and Pensions has a contracting opportunity available for the provision of an employee assistance programme in various locations within the UK.
