Biography: Maureen Salmon

Maureen is a strategic and organisational development consultant. Clients have included East Thames, London First, RSM Robson Rhodes and US based National Black MBA Association. Until May 2004 she was the executive director of the Black MBA Association UK. She has leadership and hands on management experience of working in the public and non-profit sectors in partnership with the private sector.

Maureen’s experience is derived from executive and non-executive positions in the arts & culture, education & learning, diversity, criminal justice and social regeneration. She is a board member of London Probation Board, a former board member of London First and council member of the Learning & Skills Council London Central.

Maureen was a 2001 finalist for the 'European Union of Women of Achievement Award'. In 2000, she was among those awarded 'Women of the Year' at the Millennium Festival of Women's Work' and was awarded the European Federation of Black Women Business Owners' Professional Award.

Maureen is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
