Visit this site for a better understanding of what the VCS is. This useful new resource clarifies the sector’s relationship with local government, and expands on three of the key roles that it plays: building social capital, delivering services and engaging communities.
The experiences, challenges and opportunities listed here will also be of use to the growing number of voluntary and community groups who have received a Futurebuilders investment.
We will list sector wide experiences from our investees and links to the key documents designed to help purchasers and voluntary and community groups learn from both the challenges and the examples of good practice in securing contracts and delivering services.
This section of the website will be regularly updated and we hope it becomes a useful resource for getting information, ideas and examples that inspire better practice by bringing commissioners and voluntary and community organisations closer together to improve public service delivery.
