Preparing a Business Plan
If you submit an application to Futurebuilders and we decide to longlist it for full Stage 2 assessment, we will ask you to provide a Business Plan, including a cash flow analysis, within a month of hearing that we have longlisted your application.
Why does Futurebuilders need to see your Business Plan?
We need to be sure that your organisation is ready to take on an investment from Futurebuilders and, in our experience, one of the best ways to assess that is to look at your Business Plan.
Click here to download a detailed guide to preparing a good Business Plan, including advice on what you should include under each of the headings below.
It gives us useful information about your organisation, its aims and objectives, the work it does and its financial status. It also helps us to understand why you think you need a Futurebuilders investment – and how an investment by Futurebuilders would be used.
What your Business Plan should include
There are a number of key sections which we feel should be included in any good Business Plan. These are:
- Summary
- Purpose and Objectives
- Analysis
- The Work You Do
- Your Team
- Risk
- Putting Your Plans Into Practice
- Money (Budgets and Cash Flow forecasts)
Once you have read our detailed guidance, you might find it helpful to look at an example of a good cash flow, or a cash flow template you might want to use.
