THOMAS
THOMAS (Those on the Margins of A Society) is a cross-cutting organisation working to reduce crime and improve the health and education of the people it supports. T.H.O.M.A.S. offers a 12-week residential rehabilitation programme which provides ex-offenders and ex-drug users with basic key skills, such as cooking, managing a bank account, and support with college courses and mentoring. The programme is supported by a community dispersed housing scheme. It also offers employment opportunities, drama workshops and a drop-in centre, all designed to reduce the risk of re-offending.
Futurebuilders invested in THOMAS to increase its provision of drug and alcohol rehabilitation services, particularly for the homeless, drug users and ex-offenders in Blackburn.
